Data centres are becoming wartime targets

On 11 October, Yandex had to fully shut down its Vladimir data centre after a drone attack. It is the third site of the Russian tech giant hit in a week, one of which houses supercomputers used to train its AI.

Russia, for its part, has targeted Ukrainian data centres in recent weeks. Servers and computing power have become strategic targets in their own right.
