At its Connect conference in late September, Meta presented the Meta VR Glasses: a virtual reality device in the shape of a pair of glasses, said to weigh 100 grams, five times less than a Quest 3 according to the company.
The idea: the display and sensors sit in the frame, the processor and battery in a small puck connected by cable. The glasses give access to the Quest catalogue and are mostly controlled with the eyes and hands.
Announced price: around 1,300 dollars, for a release in spring 2027. Meta also showed camera-free connected Ray-Bans.
