Prime Video unveiled a new trailer for Blade Runner 2099, the franchise’s first live-action series, at New York Comic Con. The story takes place some fifty years after Blade Runner 2049, in a transformed Los Angeles.
Hunter Schafer plays Cora, a fugitive who takes on a Blade Runner’s identity for one last mission. Michelle Yeoh is Olwen, a replicant nearing the end of her life. Together, they hunt a fugitive whose secret could destabilise the city. Silka Luisa is at the helm and Ridley Scott is executive producer.
All eight episodes drop at once on 25 November. The city has changed in fifty years; the rain, apparently, has not.
