Take Bounty Hunters Guild contracts, track your target down and take it out in space combat.
Bounty hunting is the entry point to paid space combat. Contracts range from a lone target (very low risk) to heavily escorted crews (extreme risk). Each successful contract raises your reputation with the Bounty Hunters Guild, which unlocks tougher, better-paid targets.
The start is slow: small bounties pay little. With a good fighter, solid shields and some practice, you quickly chain medium and high risk contracts, which make most of the money.

🧭 Steps
- Join the guild : Complete the intro contract in the mobiGlas Bounty tab to unlock contracts.
- Kit out the ship : In Beacon OPS, Ship tab, compare weapons and shields, then buy them with the build cart.
- Pick a contract : Start with very low and low risk, then move up as your reputation grows.
- Reach the target : The contract gives an area: quantum there, then look for the target marker.
- Engage : Stay in the target’s blind spot, aim at the pipper and manage shields against escorts.

💡 Advanced tips
- Chain contracts in the same system to cut travel
- Turn decoupled off and stay at combat speed (SCM) to aim better
- Take down lone targets before their escort
- A Cutlass Black with a turret gunner doubles your firepower
- Repair and rearm between contracts
⚠️ Common mistakes
- Taking an extreme bounty with a starter fighter
- Firing before the target is marked: CrimeStat risk
- Chasing a target through quantum without enough fuel
- Neglecting reputation for immediate pay
☠️ Risks
- Escorts and reinforcements on high-tier contracts
- Other players on the same target
- Ship loss: insurance fee and claim time
- Hitting an innocent: CrimeStat
💰 Profitability
Average at first, good once high-risk contracts unlock. Little upfront cost: only repairs, ammo and insurance eat into earnings.
