The Starfarer Gemini is the “rough and tumble” military Starfarer: less cargo and agility, but more armour, shields and engine power and stronger turrets, with an optional missile pod in place of the fuel intake.

📜 Its history

The Starfarer came from an 18-month survey of space travel, summed up in a 15,000-page study, which concluded that pilots needed a ship able to collect, refine, store and distribute fuel in flight. Development began in 2870. Before it, the job fell to huge, dangerous and inefficient supertankers; pirates even said a ship caught refuelling could be captured intact, as no captain would risk a firefight. Safer and simpler, the Starfarer became the standard for space refuelling. Given its success as a military support ship, MISC licensed the Gemini version to Aegis Dynamics: MISC builds the chassis and Aegis completes it for the military.
