Starship reaches orbit and deploys 26 Starlink satellites

On its fourteenth flight, SpaceX's giant rocket made it to orbit for the first time, despite a shortened flight.

On 28 September, SpaceX’s Starship lifted off from Starbase, Texas, for its fourteenth test flight. For the first time, the ship reached orbital velocity.

It released 26 Starlink V3 satellites, the constellation’s new generation; SpaceX confirmed that all of them were deployed. Three of them filmed the ship’s heat shield once released.

The flight, planned to last around ten hours, was however cut short by the teams.
