Scrape wreck hulls into recycled material (RMC), then sell it.
Salvage is about recovering material from wrecks: you scrape the hull with salvage beams, the material becomes RMC (Recycled Material Composite) stored in boxes, which you then sell. It is a calm, low-risk and very profitable activity with a solo Vulture or a crewed Reclaimer.
Wrecks come from salvage contracts or fights. You can also strip some components to sell them.

🚀 Recommended ships
🧰 Recommended equipment
- Suitable salvage heads

🧭 Steps
- Find a wreck : Take a salvage contract in your mobiGlas or spot a wreck on scan.
- Line up : Get within beam range and hold the ship steady facing the hull.
- Scrape the hull : Turn on the salvage beams and sweep the surface to turn the hull into RMC.

- Strip : Remove useful components from the wreck with your multitool to sell them.
- Sell : Sell RMC and components at the terminal with the best price.
💡 Advanced tips
- Widen the beams to cover more surface
- Big wrecks pay much more
- Chain several contracts in the same area
- In a Reclaimer, one crew on beams and one on tractor
- RMC is also used in crafting
⚠️ Common mistakes
- Scraping with a full hold
- Forgetting strippable components
- Staying too long in a pirate area
- Selling at the first terminal without comparing
☠️ Risks
- Pirates drawn to wrecks
- Unstable wreck or collision
- Ship destroyed with the RMC cargo
- A contract wreck in a dangerous area
💰 Profitability
Very good for a low risk. A solo Vulture is one of the best risk/reward ratios in the game.
