Star Citizen story: Wikelo, the Banu who loves humans (and the T. Banister mystery)

He “loves humans”, and he says so. Wikelo is a retired Banu, a former fabricator from the Banu Protectorate who moved to human space out of pure affection for our species. He’s also the game’s first non-human character.

🏪 Wikelo’s Emporium

• You never meet him in person: he runs three outposts, Dasi station (near Hurston), Selo (near Crusader) and Kinga (near microTech).
• The deal: bring him the materials he asks for, and he’ll make you armour, weapons, components… even ships.
• You drop the items off at the Emporium’s freight elevator and collect your reward from the location’s inventory.
• Since Alpha 4.5, a reputation system unlocks new contracts as you trade with him.

🧊 The stasis pod mystery

Veterans remember her: before Alpha 3.0, a certain T. Banister, a junior cartographer at the Imperial Cartography Center, handed players survey missions in Stanton. Then she vanished from the game along with her missions. The developers promised she’d be back, admitting they only had her voice, with no character model.

She did come back… in her own way. Since Alpha 4.1, you can see a “T. Banister” in a stasis pod, displayed as a collector’s piece at Wikelo’s. The Banu clearly have tastes all of their own.
