Star Citizen’s universe isn’t limited to the well-known species. Some stay in the shadows, others vanished long ago… leaving traces behind.
The Kr’Thak, enemy of the Xi’an
- A species no human has met yet: everything the UEE knows about them comes from the Xi’an.
- Their territory borders the Xi’an empire, on the far side from human space. Their homeworld is said to be in the Krell system.
- They have been in conflict with the Xi’an for centuries, through the Spirit Wars.
- Contacting an ally’s sworn enemy is a delicate political decision, still under consideration.
The Hadesians, an extinct civilization
- About 300,000 years ago, the Hadesians lived in the Hades system, on four planets.
- They had reached spaceflight, without ever discovering jump points.
- They are thought to have died out in an interplanetary civil war, followed by a nuclear catastrophe, long before any other species reached their level of technology.
- They were bulky and rounded, with long muscular arms. Their artifacts still fascinate researchers.
And the developing species
- Some planets are home to species that are still primitive. Since the Fair Chance Act of 2795, they are protected: no terraforming, no exploitation.
- The law was born from the trauma of Garron II, where the Messer regime wiped one of them out in 2792.
- The Osoians, discovered in 2861, are among these protected species.
What do you think the Kr’Thak look like? Theories welcome!
