Star Citizen: Delamar and Levski, the Nyx system’s refuge

Not quite a planet, but a whole world. Delamar is the largest asteroid in the Glaciem Ring, in the Nyx system. A great borehole runs right through it: on one side, the city of Levski, on the other, spires used for freight.

📜 The story of Levski

Levski is a former mining facility, abandoned for years. During the Messer era, activists and refugees from the People’s Alliance, fleeing the regime, moved in and set out to build an egalitarian community. Levski became the largest settlement in the Ring, and a self-sustaining port for political activists and anyone wanting to escape the Empire’s control.

Criminal groups eventually moved in too, hence a constant tension between idealists and outlaws. The Empire has never seriously tried to shut Levski down: the place is hard to reach, and its remaining dissidents are considered “fairly toothless”.

🌌 The Nyx system

Discovered in 2582 by the navjumper Carla Larry, through a jump point from the Bremen system. The Empire never claimed it: planets unfit for terraforming, a belt too dangerous to mine.
Nyx I: a coreless world, mined out. Nyx II: crushing pressure and clouds of acid. Nyx III: an ice giant of no mining interest. These planets are expected in game soon.
The Keeger Belt, on the edge, hides suspected criminal strongholds, plus stations added in Alpha 4.7.
Nyx is a stop on the Castra–Stanton route: lots of freight, and so lots of piracy. Stick to the usual spacelanes!

🎮 Did you know?

Delamar has been in the game before: it was placed in Stanton in 2017 (Alpha 3.0) to test landings, then removed in 2021 while waiting for Nyx. The official visuals released for Alpha 4.4 show Levski, its Grand Barter, the Mercy hospital and its memorial.
