Welcome to Hurston, the planet that makes your ammunition. The first planet of the Stanton system is a super-Earth bought by the Hurston family, who turned it into the giant factory of their arms empire. Its sky is veiled with pollution, and the capital, Lorville, lives in the shadow of the company headquarters.

📜 Its history

In 2865, the indebted Empire sold Stanton’s planets to private interests. Magda Hurston bought Stanton I for Hurston Dynamics, an aristocratic, family-run arms manufacturer. Decades of mining and manufacturing have since destroyed most of the ecosystem and the native wildlife.

The planet constantly needs cheap labour: workers arrive on year-long factory or mining contracts, and few of them renew. Lorville, the company’s largest town, is built at the foot of Central, Hurston Dynamics’ colossal headquarters.

🌙 Four moons, four family members

  • Arial: named after Arial Hurston, the third CEO, behind a highly controversial employment contract. It shares Hurston’s acidic biome.
  • Aberdeen: named after the scientist Aberdeen Hurston. Its extreme heat discourages any escape from the Klescher prison located there.
  • Magda: named after the CEO who bought the planet from the Empire.
  • Ita: named after Ita Hurston, who died in the First Tevarin War.

🎮 In game

  • Lorville is one of the game’s starting points. A tram links the districts, the spaceport and the Central area.
  • The biomes are varied: desert, savannah, open-cast mines, trash mesas, acidic zones and polluted coasts.
  • The Lagrange points (HUR-L1 to L5) mostly hold debris, asteroids, a few rest stops and mining claims.
  • ⚠️ On the Lorville tram, stay away from the doors: a known bug can be deadly (see our sheet).
