A planet that lost its place. Pyro IV was probably the fourth planet of the system, until a collision with a planet-sized body flung it into orbit around the gas giant Pyro V. The impact stripped away its original atmosphere.
🪪 Fact file
| System | Pyro (Pyro IV) |
| Type | Rocky, “Mercury-like” body, now the outermost moon of Pyro V |
| Atmosphere | New, but toxic: a breather is a must |
| Temperatures | Below freezing by day, around −20 °C |
| Resources | Depleted by mining |
| Status | Unclaimed, not habitable |
☀️ The Pyro system in brief. A “flare” star that can change brightness within minutes and sweep the system with radiation. The Pyrotechnic Amalgamated company mined it from 2493 to 2563, then abandoned everything. Gangs moved into its deserted stations: today in Pyro, whoever has the most guns makes the law. Open to players since Alpha 4.0.0 (December 2024).
⏳ Its days are numbered
Pyro IV is on a slow collision course with Pyro V. It will either crash into the giant or be torn into rings. From orbit, you can still see the great impact crater in the northern hemisphere, ringed by mountain ranges and bays.
