Star Citizen planet: Pyro V and its six moons

Pyro’s largest planet. Pyro V is a gas giant with swirling green and yellow clouds, nearly 7,800 km in radius. The system’s inhabitants come to harvest hydrogen from its atmosphere… even if the mix is rather poor.

🪪 Fact file

System	Pyro (Pyro V)
Type	Gas giant, about 7,812 km in radius
Satellites	Six moons, plus Pyro IV, captured after a collision
Refuelling	A “low-yield” refuelling point
Status	Unclaimed, not habitable

☀️ The Pyro system in brief. A “flare” star that can change brightness within minutes and sweep the system with radiation. The Pyrotechnic Amalgamated company mined it from 2493 to 2563, then abandoned everything. Gangs moved into its deserted stations: today in Pyro, whoever has the most guns makes the law. Open to players since Alpha 4.0.0 (December 2024).

🌙 Its six moons

Moon	In brief
Ignis (5a)	The innermost: canyons, dry riverbeds, extreme cold and a sulphur dioxide atmosphere. Its traces of oxygen can refill suit tanks
Vatra (5b)	A dense nitrogen-methane atmosphere over dark landscapes. Its plants feed on hydrocarbons
Adir (5c)	A cratered surface, rocky hills and jagged mountains
Fairo (5d)	Frequent earthquakes raise big waves on its brackish seas. Surprising ecosystems, on land and underwater
Fuego (5e)	Yellow-black iron-sulphide soil. Early Headhunters smugglers stashed their goods there in the 2600s
Vuur (5f)	Carbon-rich soil and a warm atmosphere, with plants that use crystalline carbon. A former botany research site, taken over by outlaws
