📜 Its history

The Banu are the first intelligent species humanity met, in 2438: explorer Vernon Tar nearly started a war by opening fire on one of their ships… luckily missing (the Banu pilot was in fact fleeing the law for embezzlement). A people of traders, organised as a republic of planet-states, the Banu Protectorate trades peacefully with every known civilisation. Their ships happily mix technology from several species: if it works better, use it.
