The Carrack is Anvil’s great exploration ship: reinforced fuel tanks for long flights, an advanced jump drive and a dedicated computer core for jump charting. Once military-only, it is now open to civilians, with a medical bay, repair facilities and a mapping sensor suite. The Expedition version wears an exploration livery.

📜 Its history

In 2815, the UEEN cruiser Carraway vanished with all hands while investigating strange transmissions in Tohil’s asteroid field. To stop risking warships on exploration, the Admiralty secretly awarded Anvil a no-bid contract. In 2822, the Carrack appeared unannounced at MacArthur Naval Base in Kilian: the Navy’s first corvette-sized dedicated explorer, it seemed to have emerged fully formed and ready for service. It is now available to civilians.
