The Hull D opens the big end of the range: affordable for mid-sized organisations, it often serves as a merchant flagship but needs escorts outside safe space. The UEE military uses modified versions to supply the front line.

📜 Its history

The Hull range is made by MISC-HI, MISC’s heavy industrial division, which brings in most of its business. Launched with four models, from the Hull A to the gargantuan Hull D, it revolutionised interstellar freight and standardised dockyards across the UEE; over a dozen companies were founded or refocused around it, such as Argo with its MPUV ferries. In 2820 a fifth “super-freighter”, the Hull E, was added. These modular hulls now carry most Human corporate shipping, and their unexpected popularity with the Xi’an even spawned an unlikely business relationship.
