The Prospector has been the solo miner’s ship of choice for years: MISC’s sleek styling and upgraded mining tools.
📜 Its history
MISC began the Prospector in 2910 as an extension of the Freelancer: nine Freelancers were handed to the Cold Boot team, whose third project it was, first nicknamed “The Miner”. Two conversions failed by 2914 and the first prototype was ungainly and over budget, but after twenty-six test flights the programme was saved. Four prototypes later (A-1, A-2, A-3 then B-1) and eight years of work on the hull and a miniaturised mining array, the ship was named Prospector in 2923.
