Boeing’s Starliner capsule will fly again with nobody on board. NASA said in late September that the Starliner-1 mission could lift off as early as December 2026, or in January 2027.
The flight is meant to validate the fixes made after the 2024 crewed flight, which was marred by thruster failures and helium leaks. Boeing has since reworked the thrusters, batteries and parachutes.
The following flight, Starliner-2, this time with a crew, is targeted for 2028.
