Raise your reputation with factions and employers to unlock better-paid contracts.

In Star Citizen, reputation is the real progression: each contract completed for an employer (Bounty Hunters Guild, hauling companies, local factions) raises your rank. Higher ranks unlock harder and much better-paid missions.

Reputation doesn’t earn money directly, but it multiplies your earnings in every other activity. A failure or betrayal lowers it: pick your employers carefully.

🧭 Steps

  1. Pick an employer : Focus on an employer tied to your career: bounties, hauling, mining, mercenary.
  2. Check your rank : In the mobiGlas, Reputation tab, see your rank and what the next one needs.

  4. Rank up : Each rank unlocks harder, better-paid contracts.
  5. Avoid conflicts : Check that a contract does not hurt a faction you want to stay friendly with.

💡 Advanced tips

  • Don’t spread yourself across too many employers
  • Group contracts raise the whole group’s reputation
  • Don’t abandon an active contract: reputation drops
  • Note which ranks unlock which missions
  • Keep a main career and a side one

⚠️ Common mistakes

  • Abandoning contracts
  • Working for two rival factions
  • Jumping ranks with insufficient gear
  • Forgetting to check the mobiGlas

☠️ Risks

  • Contract failure: reputation loss
  • Contracts hostile to an allied faction
  • Gear loss on hard missions
  • A lot of time to climb ranks

💰 Profitability

No direct earnings, but it multiplies every other activity: a high rank can double or triple contract pay.
