An instanced four-player mission: take Orison’s platforms back from the Nine Tails, all the way to the final commander.

Back in patch 4.10, Siege of Orison is Star Citizen’s first “instancing on demand” mission: your group gets its own copy of Crusader’s platforms, with no other players around. After a briefing, a shuttle drops you on the first platform, then objectives follow one another up to the Nine Tails commander and the main jammer.

It is intense FPS combat designed for four coordinated players. aUEC earnings are shared between group members, and rewards (weapons, armour, blueprints) change from patch to patch: always check the contract text in game.

🔑 Requirements

  • Be in Orison (Crusader, Stanton)
  • Complete the one-time intro mission, then take the instance elevators near the Crusader showroom
  • A group of 2 to 4 players (4 recommended)
  • Full FPS kit and healing

🚀 Recommended ships

  • No ship needed: mission shuttle
  • Anvil Carrack or Cutlass Red (healing, quick return)

🧰 Recommended equipment

  • Medium or heavy armour
  • An assault rifle or LMG, plus a backup weapon
  • Medpens and a multitool with a healing attachment (CureLife)
  • Plenty of ammo, grenades

🧭 Steps

  1. Intro mission : Accept the intro mission: it guides you to the instance elevators near Orison’s Crusader showroom.
  2. Form the group : Create the party before entering: points from a contract completed as a party are shared between its members.
  3. Briefing and shuttle : Listen to the briefing, then board the shuttle that drops the team on the first platform.
  4. Hold the platforms : Move from cover, clear the Nine Tails waves and secure each objective before moving on.
  5. Search : Open locked containers: they hold, among other things, the Arlington lever-action rifle.
  6. Final commander : Take down the Nine Tails commander and disable the main jammer to complete the mission.
  7. Rewards : Go back to the terminal to complete the contract; check your earnings and blueprints in your mobiGlas.

💡 Advanced tips

  • Name a medic: reviving a teammate is cheaper than restarting
  • Carry two different weapon types (long and short range)
  • Call targets on voice, waves come from several sides
  • Empty the containers before the final fight
  • Rest between sieges: the instance can be replayed at will

⚠️ Common mistakes

  • Entering without a party already formed
  • Leaving without healing or spare ammo
  • Rushing alone into the middle of the platform
  • Forgetting to complete the contract at the end

☠️ Risks

  • Many organised enemies, open-ground fights
  • Falling off the platforms
  • Whole-group wipe: the instance restarts
  • Possible instance bugs (new mission)

💰 Profitability

Fair in aUEC once split four ways, but mostly worth it for the gear and blueprints. Amounts change with 4.10 hotfixes.
