Orbital map of the Kellog system

On the edge of Vanduul space, Kellog is closely watched for two reasons. First, the life discovered on Xis (Kellog II), protected by the Fair Chance Act. Second, QuarterDeck (Kellog VI), the UEE’s prison world. Between bounty hunters and haulers, it is the busiest developing system in the Empire.

Kellog I (lava planet)

So close to the star that its surface is molten lava.

Kellog II · Xis (rocky planet)

Xis, a world of jungles and warm seas teeming with life. It is home to the Orm, primitive hominids protected by the Fair Chance Act. The UEE works to keep its wildlife off the black market.

Kellog III (smog planet)

A smog world with a thick atmosphere, completely hostile to humans.

Kellog IV (super-Earth)

It may hold resources, but being next to a protected planet and a major prison limits access.

Kellog V (gas dwarf)

A gas dwarf with a thick atmosphere, poorly suited to refuelling.

Kellog VI · Quarterdeck (ice planet)

QuarterDeck, an icy desert turned prison: hundreds of thousands of hardened criminals serve their sentences there, and prisoners work in an antimatter facility.

☄️ Belts, clusters and stations

  • JusticeStar Satellite (space station): At one of QuarterDeck’s Lagrange points: the prison world’s central processing centre.
