Orbital map of the Chronos system

A vast, empty system with two dead worlds close to their star. Its habitable zone was free: the perfect spot for the Synthworld project, an entirely artificial planet. The only landing zone is Archangel Station. The UEE keeps a military presence to protect the project from raiders. For the full story, read our Synthworld story.

🪐 Its worlds, from the star outwards

Chronos I · Bruder (dwarf planet)

Nicknamed Bruder: a small scorching rock. It has ore, but the heat rules out lengthy mining operations.

Chronos II · Schwester (rocky planet)

Schwester, Synthworld’s “little sister”: its very dense atmosphere causes a greenhouse effect that makes it even hotter than Bruder.

Chronos III · Synthworld (artificial planet)

Synthworld (Project Archangel) is meant to become a temperate planet. The UEE is building it so it never has to terraform a world again.

☄️ Belts, clusters and stations

  • Archangel Station (space station): The station orbiting above Synthworld: it houses the project’s scientists and engineers and takes in the resources it consumes.
