The Gladius is an older design, updated over the years. The military loves it for its performance and simplicity: a fast light fighter laser-focused on dogfighting, ideal as an interceptor or escort.

📜 Its history

The Gladius was developed by Aegis in the 26th century to replace the Stiletto interceptors, and first saw action in the First Tevarin War. In 2944, as squadrons moved to the F7A Hornet and the F8 Lightning went to elite units, the Navy began auctioning older Gladius to planetary governments and approved mercenaries, stripped of their classified technology.
