📜 Its history
Aegis Dynamics was born from the merger of Aegis Macrocomputing (Earth) and Dynamic Production Systems (Davien), with the explicit goal of building warships. Favoured by Ivar Messer, it built most of the Messer era’s military ships, to the point of becoming the regime’s symbol; under CEO Hannah Chan (2643-2708), it created the Javelin destroyer and set the diamond laminate cockpit standard. When the Messers fell, it lost its contracts and nearly went bankrupt, until a civilian Retaliator saved it. Today, Aegis builds military and civilian ships, right up to the demilitarised Idris frigate.
