The Hammerhead is a fast patrol ship bristling with anti-fighter turrets. It can support larger capital ships in a fleet or act as flagship for fighter groups.

📜 Its history

In March 2765, High Command requested a dedicated anti-fighter platform that could screen the fleet and serve as a cheap patrol ship: Project MONITOR, assigned to Aegis. The first production Hammerhead was delivered to the Navy on 9 August 2773, and its success led the UEE to order it in large numbers. But after the fall of the Messers in 2792, many saw it as the regime’s “official” ship, and Aegis was publicly disgraced for its role.
