The Vulture is a rough, rugged salvage machine: answer to no one, rip wrecks like a pro and carve out your own place in the great big empty.

📜 Its history

On 9 August 2895, the freighter “Empire Slipper” crashed into an irradiated asteroid field near a red giant, carrying precious metals and artworks. Found eight months later, the wreck was out of reach for conventional salvagers. Drake, then a young manufacturer, modified a Cutlass prototype, the VLT-3, with manipulator arms that avoided spacewalks, and recovered flight recorders and containers over thirty-six missions. The operation boosted its reputation, despite a row over copying the flight data. In 2932, a profitable salvage job by the Reclaimer “General Dogsbody” revived interest in the trade: the VLT-3 became the Vulture, officially launched in 2938.
