[BUG] Launcher: can’t sign in (code:error, 403)

The symptom: the launcher won’t let you sign in, showing “Sign In Failed – code:error” or a 403 / API Denied error.

🔑 “Sign In Failed – code:error” 🟢

This is usually a two-factor authentication failure (the 6-digit code). The official fix:

1. Fully close the launcher (right-click the RSI icon next to the clock › Quit).
2. Sign out of the RSI website.
3. Sign in to the RSI website in a private browsing window, and leave it open.
4. Relaunch the launcher and sign in.
5. After too many failures, your account is temporarily protected: wait 30 minutes before trying again.

🚫 Error 403 / API Denied 🟡

Turn off your VPN, or switch VPN server if you need one. CIG has no confirmed fix for this case yet.

💡 Also check that your PC’s clock is right (Windows Settings › Time & language › Sync now): a clock that’s out of sync makes two-factor codes fail.
