Orbital map of the Stanton system

The UEE keeps the rights to the system, but its four planets were sold to four megacorporations: they are the only privately owned worlds in the Empire. UEE common law applies, but private planetary security forces do the policing. It is Star Citizen’s first playable system. Also read Stanton and its megacorporations.

🪐 Its worlds, from the star outwards

Stanton I · Hurston (super-Earth)

Hurston, a mining and industrial super-Earth where weapons and munitions are made. Heavy industry has badly polluted it.
👥 inhabited · 📖 detailed fact file

Its moons:

  • Arial (Stanton 1a): Arial, named after Hurston Dynamics’ 3rd CEO, creator of the controversial “Life/Labor” employee contract.
  • Aberdeen (Stanton 1b): Aberdeen, named after the scientist credited with the company’s first antimatter warhead.
  • Magda (Stanton 1c): Magda, named after the CEO who bought the planet from the UEE.
  • Ita (Stanton 1d): Ita, named after Ita Hurston, who died in the First Tevarin War.

Stanton II · Crusader (gas giant)

Crusader, a low-mass gas giant breathable at altitude: Crusader Industries builds its large ships, like the Starliner, on floating platforms.
👥 inhabited · 📖 detailed fact file

Its moons:

  • Cellin (Stanton 2a): Cellin, the youngest sibling in “A Gift for Baba”: over a hundred dormant volcanoes, like her simmering anger.
  • Daymar (Stanton 2b): Daymar, the middle brother: Crusader’s largest moon, on a slightly eccentric orbit.
  • Yela (Stanton 2c): Yela, the eldest: a water-ice crust, like her cool, calculating nature. It has a ring.

Stanton III · ArcCorp (super-Earth)

ArcCorp, covered in buildings: homes at the poles, factories and business districts in between.
👥 inhabited · 📖 detailed fact file

Its moons:

  • Lyria (Stanton 3a): Lyria, an icy moon with active cryogeysers and cryovolcanoes.
  • Wala (Stanton 3b): Wala, so low in density that tides have stretched it.

Stanton IV · microTech (super-Earth)

microTech, colder than planned after a terraforming error: ideal for its owner’s heat-sensitive computing centres.
👥 inhabited · 📖 detailed fact file

Its moons:

  • Calliope (Stanton 4a): Calliope, the muse of eloquence.
  • Clio (Stanton 4b): Clio, the muse of history.
  • Euterpe (Stanton 4c): Euterpe, the muse of music.

☄️ Belts, clusters and stations

  • Aaron Halo (asteroid belt): The Aaron Halo: Crusader Industries claims it came with its planet. The legal confusion has triggered a rush of miners.
  • Port Olisar (starbase): Crusader Industries’ former station above the planet. In game, it was removed and replaced by Seraphim Station in Alpha 3.20 (2023).
  • Security Post Kareah (orbital defence post): Crusader Security’s outpost on Cellin.
  • Covalex Hub Gundo (space station): Covalex’s former logistics hub, destroyed by an explosion that killed its entire crew. Read our investigation.
  • Cry-Astro Service (space station): A Cry-Astro service station to refuel and restock ships.
  • ICC ScanHub Stanton (survey station): An Imperial Cartography Center station that sweeps the system for jump points.
  • CommArray SCC (space station): Communication relays providing comm coverage across the system.
